Depending on the error code reported, there are a few reasons why CAM may throw a JavaScript error while loading. Common reasons include:
- CAM is being installed on an unsupported versions of Windows (Windows 8.1 or older)
- There is a corrupted setting or program file
- The updater is corrupted or missing
To resolve this issue, we first recommend to clear the settings.json file from your CAM user's folder.
- Close the CAM software from the task tray (Right-click > Exit NZXT CAM> or end the process via the Task Manager.
- Open your AppData/Roaming folder:
- Press Windows+R and type %AppData% in the Run Dialog, then press Enter.
- Open a File Explorer window and type %AppData% in the top address bar, then press Enter.
- Open the NZXT CAM folder
- Right-click the Settings.json file and choose Delete
- Re-launch the CAM software
If the issue persists, a full reinstall of the CAM software may be necessary.
