If your cannot hear audio playback through a 3.5 mm headset connected to your Capsule or if you are using an external audio DAC and cannot hear audio after connecting your Capsule, this guide will include a few settings to check.
Check your Sound > Output Settings
The most common issue is that your Output Device is not properly set. To adjust this, click the ⚙ Settings option in your Start Menu and go to System > Sound. In the Sound settings, make sure that your intended device is set as your Output.
For example, if your headset is connected to the 3.5 mm audio jack on the mic you will need to make sure that the Mic itself is set as the Output device.
Check the Headphone Volume
If you are using the 3.5 mm audio jack on the Capsule mic, make sure that the volume is not set to 0. This can be done by turning the dial on the mic itself and checking your Windows volume settings.

- Capsule Mini - Only Dial
- Capsule Elite - Side Dial
| Check your Headset! |
Some headphones (such as the Relay headset) include an in-line volume controller. Be sure to adjust the in-line volume to make sure the headset is working. It is also only recommended to adjust your volume at once source, so if you are planning to use the volume adjustment in Windows, on the Capsule or other DAC, or via an in-line control to make sure that all other sources are set to 100%. |
Check the Connection(s)
Lastly and most often overlooked, make sure everything is securely connected. A loose 3.5 mm jack connection can lead to hours of troubleshooting if overlooked.
