Connecting the SwitchMix is a fairly straightforward process, as there are only 4 cables in total that will need to be connected for full functionality. In your box, you will find the following:
- The NZXT SwitchMix Mixer
- The NZXT SwitchMix Headphone Stand
- 1x USB Type-A to Type C Cable
- The NZXT SwitchMix User's Manual
With the Mixer and Headphone Stand unboxed, check the underside of the Headphone Stand to find the 2.5mm cable shown above. Remove the cable from the 2.5mm jack end and route the cable using the included channels to exit the rear of the stand. From here, place the Mixer on top of the stand and connect the 2.5mm cable to the center port on the rear of the Mixer.
If you are not planning to use the Headphone Stand, you can skip this step.
To connect your Speakers, locate the 3.5mm Speaker port on the rear of the Mixer to the right (furthest from the USB Type-C) and insert the 3.5mm cable from your Speakers until you feel the cable click securely into place.
To connect your Headphones, locate the 3.5mm Headphone port at the front of the Mixer and insert the 3.5mm cable from your Headphones until you feel the cable click securely into place.
Lastly, locate the USB Type-C connection on the rear of the Mixer and connect the included USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable, then plug the Mixer to an open USB Port on your PC. It is recommended to use a USB 3.0 or higher port for connecting the SwitchMix. These are generally going to be either Blue or Red depending on your motherboard.
