While the Kraken series coolers can be used without the NZXT CAM, many features will not be available without the CAM software running in the background. This includes customized cooling curves and profiles as well as RGB effects and custom display modes on Kraken models with integrated screens. For the best experience, we recommend having the CAM software running at all times.
