If your NZXT Kraken Cooler leaks due to a manufacturing defect, we will either replace or refund the cost of the Kraken as well as any damaged components as outlined in our Limited Warranty Policy. Valid proof of purchase for the Kraken as well as any damaged components will be required in order to complete a warranty claim.
Valid proof of purchase would include the following:
- An NZXT BLD Order#
- An itemized invoice from the System Integrator (SI) who built the PC
- An NZXT Order#
- An Invoice or Receipt from an Authorized NZXT Reseller
In order to determine the cause of the failure, as well as if the damage is covered under our limited warranty we will require you to send us the affected Kraken as well as any damaged parts or the entire system as built. All components will be individually inspected by our team to determine if the component is still functional and if the leak from the Kraken is the source of the component failure.
How do I ship my PC or Components for a Leak Test?
In the event that you need to send your PC in for a Leak Test with our team, please reach out to our Customer Support team to request an RMA. For NZXT BLD Systems still covered under the system warranty, you will be provided with a prepaid shipping label as well as packing instructions on how to properly package your BLD system. If you still have your original NZXT BLD packing materials, you can re-use them for the leak test claim. For more information, please check out our packing guide here:
NZXT Support - How to Package your BLD PC for RMA Service
For non-BLD systems or BLD systems outside of the original system warranty, you will be provided with a prepaid shipping label as well as RMA instructions on how to send in your cooler as well as any affected components. It is recommended to package the leaking cooler in a sealed, plastic bag to prevent any liquid exposure to other components in the package or damage to the shipping box.
All components should be wrapped in anti-static bubble wrap or packaged in individual anti-static bags with sufficient padding between each item in the package. In the event that you need to send in the full assembled PC, please refer to our guide on how to package a BLD PC above.
In the event that NZXT is unable to provide a prepaid shipping label to your region, NZXT will reimburse the cost of return shipping to our warehouse once a component fault is confirmed.
What happens when I send my PC or Components in for a Leak Test?
Once the components are delivered, they will be forwarded to our team to inspection and testing. All components will be individually inspected by our team to determine if the component is still functional, or if the leak from the Kraken was the source of the component failure. In the event that the Kraken cooler is found at fault, we will either offer a replacement of the components or reimbursement of the cost.
