All Kraken series liquid coolers are closed loop coolers and do not need to be periodically refilled or flushed.
| What is a "closed loop" cooler? |
Closed loop means that the cooler is designed to require minimal maintenance by using low-evaporation materials in combination with a stable coolant that does not need to be periodically refilled (aka "topped off" or flushed. This allows one to experience the advantages of liquid cooling (lower system noise, greater heat dissipation and cooling performance, etc.) without worry about additional maintenance. The opposite is an open loop which is primarily found in enthusiast custom water cooling systems. |
