NZXT Support - C-Series Gold PSU (2022) Frequently Asked Questions
Does NZXT offer custom sleeved cables for the E and C-Series Power Supplies?
At this time, NZXT does not have any plans for sleeved cables to be offered for our E or C-Series Power Supplies.
Are there any third-party sleeved cable options for the E and C-Series Power Supplies?
Depending on the model of the power supply, there may be some options available for use with your PSU. Any E and C-Series Power Supplies that have a model number starting with NP- or that specifically list the manufacturer as Seasonic will be compatible with any cable kits designed for Seasonic's Focus GX series of Power Supplies.
Please note: When using any third-party cable kit with an NZXT Power Supply, any issues related to or caused by the third-party cables are not covered by the NZXT limited warranty.
For any 2nd generation or newer PSUs (model number starting with a PA-), there are currently no known cross-compatible third party cables available at this time.
Can I change the fan in my NZXT Power Supply?
If your power supply fan has failed, is making noise, or is no longer spinning while under load, please reach out to our Customer Support team for warranty assistance.
It is not recommended to open your Power Supply under any circumstance. Opening a power supply without sufficient experience or protection can result in severe injury or death. Please do not attempt to service or replace any components in your power supply directly.
Is the NZXT CAM software required for the NZXT E and C-Series Power Supplies?
NZXT CAM monitoring is a feature that is exclusive to the NZXT E-Series Power Supplies thanks to the included internal USB 2.0 connection. The C-series does not include any smart monitoring features and will not be detected through NZXT CAM.
If you do not wish to use the smart monitoring features of the power supply, the NZXT CAM software is not necessary.
Is there a Silent or Eco Mode for the new C-Series Gold PSUs?
All of our C-Series Gold PSUs will include a Zero RPM mode switch located next to the main power switch. When enabled (button out), your PSU's fan will only turn on when it hits a certain operating temperature. With Zero RPM mode disabled (button in), your PSU fan will always be on and will adjust its speed based on the temperature of your PSU.
Are the NZXT E and C-Series Power Supplies compatible with newer graphics cards using the newer 12 or 16-pin 12VHPWR standard?
The NZXT E and C-Series Power Supplies are compatible with graphics cards using the 12 or 16-pin 12VHPWER connector, however an additional adapter will be necessary to properly connect the card. As the 16-pin 12VHPWR is a requirement for newer NVIDIA cards starting with the RTX 4000 series, it is recommended to confirm that your GPU comes with the necessary adapter.
NZXT offers a 12VHPWR Adapter cable (16-pin 12VHPWR to Dual 8-pin PCIe), is this compatible with the NZXT E and C-Series Power Supplies?
To go along with the launch of the updated NZXT C-Series Power Supplies, we also released an adapter cable for 12VHPWR without the need for the less attractive dongles included with many GPUs. This cable is only compatible with the newer generation NZXT C-Series which will feature a model number starting with PA-. This cable is not compatible with older generation E and C-Series Power Supplies starting with an NP- or that list Seasonic as the manufacturer.
