If you've found your way to this page, you've likely either just purchased an NZXT Canvas Monitor or are looking to add one to your setup.  For the Canvas Monitors, in order to reduce clutter we have opted to not include a stand out of the box and instead make the stand itself an optional add-on for the monitor.

This means for those who would prefer to use a monitor arm they do not need to find a place to store an unused monitor stand.  This guide will go over the different monitor stand options, including what will be necessary for each monitor model.

Monitor Stand vs. Monitor Arm

Depending on your personal setup, there are a number of pros and cons for going with either a Monitor Stand or Monitor arm.  Many people do find the clean aesthetic of a well made monitor stand such as those we provide for the Canvas series to add to their desk setup, while others may enjoy the greater freedom that can be granted by a monitor arm.  It is always best however to take a look at your desk before going with one or the other.

For example, if your desk has a thinner top or a glass top, it may be harder to use a Monitor arm without additional hardware which could ruin the aesthetic of the desk or even potentially damage it.  In these situations, the Monitor Stand with its clean industrial aesthetic and built in cable management is going to be the right choice for your setup.

By contrast, if your desk has a sufficiently thick top then a Monitor Arm can be very useful to keep a clean desk aesthetic, even if you're incredibly limited by the available surface area on your desk.  Like with our Monitor Stand, our Monitor Arms also include integrated cable routing channels to hide any unsightly cables.

Monitor Arms are also very attractive for users with Multi-monitor setups as they can be easier to align to your ideal setup and even come in a Dual Monitor variety for this exact reason.

What are the features of the Canvas Monitor Stands?

All Canvas Monitor Stands have some shared features, however depending on size of the stand you go with a few features may not be present.

These shared features are:

  • Easy to use Quick-Release mechanism for attaching or removing the Canvas monitor.
  • Built in cable routing channels for clean cable management
  • Clean NZXT Industrial Aesthetic matching our cases, monitors, and other peripherals such as mice, keyboards and audio products.
  • -5° ~ 20° Tilt
  • -20° ~ 20° Swivel
  • 0 - 120mm Height Adjustment

For the Small size Monitor Stand for the Canvas 25F, 27F, and 27Q models, you also get access to a full 90° rotation in either direction (-90° ~ 90°) if you would prefer to set up the monitor in a Portrait orientation instead of the standard Landscape orientation.

Attaching the Canvas Monitor Stand

Thanks to the NZXT Quick Release mechanism built into the NZXT Canvas Monitors, attaching the Canvas Monitor Stand is incredibly simple.  Place the face down on a dust free, padded surface to protect the screen and bezel from damage.  If you have a curved monitor such as the Canvas 32Q, you can leave the monitor in its packing foam to protect the screen.

Line up the top hooks of the Canvas Monitor Stand with the slots in the rear of the monitor, then angle the stand into place until you hear it click and lock into place.

What are the features of the NZXT Monitor Arms?

The NZXT Monitor Arms offer a different way to mount your Canvas monitor, granting a far greater degree of freedom when compared to a Stand but also freeing up valuable desk space either to maintain a minimalist, clean setup or make room for other parts of your setup such as your keyboard, mouse, speakers, capture devices, etc.

As a bonus, the NZXT Monitor Arms are not limited to just NZXT Monitors, but will work with any VESA 75mm or 100mm compatible monitor under 10kgs (approx. 22 lbs).  The Monitor Arm is available in both a Single Monitor and Dual Monitor style, and is made to work with all standard 16:9 aspect ratio, 32" monitors within the weight limit.*

*Ultrawide (21:9) and other wide format monitors may not be fully compatible at 32".  Most monitors with a horizontal size of 28-29" should be compatible.

Attaching the NZXT Monitor Arm

Attaching the NZXT Monitor Arm to a Canvas Monitor is fairly straight forward.  It is recommended to have the arm itself disconnected from the base while mounting it to the monitor.

With the arm detached, place the monitor face down on a dust free, padded surface to protect the screen and bezel from damage.  If you are attaching this to a curved monitor such as the Canvas 32Q, you can leave the monitor within its packing foam to protect the screen from damage.

Align the plate with the four VESA 100mm mounting holes on the rear of the Canvas Monitor, then use the M4 screws included with the mounting arm to secure the arm to the back of the monitor.

From here, slide the arm onto the mounting post and tighten the tension screw using the included 2.5mm Hex Key.
