Newer chipsets such as B650E and Z690 do not support Legacy OS mode. |
While the above listed motherboards are designed with UEFI support for Windows 10 in mind, it does offer support for older operating systems that are not compatible with UEFI or do not use UEFI by default.
| Driver Support for non-UEFI Operating Systems |
| NZXT does not provide dedicated drivers for non-UEFI operating systems such as Linux, or Windows 7 and older. Community and generic driver compatibility may vary. |
Opening UEFI BIOS Settings
To enable Legacy OS settings, you'll need to open the UEFI (aka BIOS) settings by pressing F2 or Delete at the NZXT splash screen.
For Intel Motherboards: Once the UEFI setting are open, make sure that you are in Advanced Mode which will show the Main, Overclocking, Advanced, etc. tabs across the top of the screen.
Enabling CSM (Compatibility Support Module)
Legacy OS settings are contained as part of the Compatibility Support Module or CSM settings. To access these settings, open the Boot tab and select CSM (Compatibility Support Module).
Set the CSM setting to Enabled to expose the OpROM policy settings and change any necessary settings to Legacy Only. Open the Exit tab and choose Save Changes & Exit to save the updated CSM settings.
