The Kraken Core series is not compatible with NZXT CAM.
Why is the Kraken Core not compatible with CAM?
The Kraken Core is a standalone liquid cooler which connects directly to the motherboard via the following headers:
- 3-pin DC Pump Connector (Pump)
- Can be connected to any 3-pin or 4-pin compatible Fan header. AIO_PUMP/CPU_OPT is recommended.
- 4-pin PWM Fan Connector (Included Fan)
- 3-pin 5V Addressable RGB (ARGB) (Cap and RGB Fan)
Can I still control the Kraken Core via CAM with an NZXT motherboard?
You can control the lighting and fan speed on the Kraken Core via CAM so long as you are using an NZXT motherboard. To control the fan speed, select the header where the fan is connected (i.e. CPU_FAN) and then choose one of the pre-set profiles or set your own custom curve.
For lighting on the Cap and Fan, you must configure the 5V Addressable RGB Header on the motherboard to access lighting controls. For more information, please see the guides below:

| Can I control Pump speed in CAM? |
| The Pump on the Kraken Core is designed to be run at 100% at all times. Attempting to reduce the speed of the pump can result in reduced effectiveness or cause malfunctions. It is recommended to set the speed on the Pump header to Fixed or Custom mode @ 100% when using the NZXT CAM software. |
