Preparing the Case
To replace the Top I/O Module, you will need to remove the following panels from the case:
- Top Mesh Panel
- Right-side Metal Panel
Thanks to the tool-less design of the H7, removing these panels is very easy. To remove the top panel, use the cut-out at the rear of the case to pull the panel upwards and away from the case. The same method can be used to pull the metal panel away from the case as well.
With the panels removed, use your Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the the two screws that hold the case latch in place (A), then remove the case latch. With the case latch removed, unscrew the 3 screws that hold the Top I/O module in place and pull the I/O out from below.
To install the replacement Top I/O Module, follow these instructions in reverse order.
