The Kraken 120 is a standalone liquid cooler which does not rely on the CAM software for control or monitoring. The Kraken 120 will only detect in the CAM software when connected to a compatible 4-pin NZXT RGB header found on compatible controllers and products, including but not limited to:
- RGB Controller (included with select cases and multi-fan kits)
- RGB & Fan Controller
- Control Hub
- N-Series motherboards
While connected directly via 4-pin NZXT RGB the Kraken 120 will only appear as a Lighting device in CAM and will not appear in the Cooling section.
If you are using the included 4-pin NZXT RGB to 3-pin ARGB adapter to connect directly to your motherboard, you can control the RGB lighting on the Kraken 120 using your motherboard's control software (Asus Armoury Crate, MSI Center, etc.).
| How to control Pump and Fan Speed for the Kraken 120 |
Because the Kraken 120 is a standalone product that does not appear as a Cooling device, any cooling changes will need to be adjusted through one of two ways:
For Pump speeds, we highly recommend locking the pump speed to 100% at all times. Setting the pump to a lower speed or adjusted curve can result in degraded performance as well as damage to the pump over time. |
