With the release of the April 2026 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 (KB5083769), we have received reports of users being unable to consistently load sensor data in the NZXT CAM software. This issue appears to be connected to changes implemented by the update in regards to access with low-level hardware sensors.
This issue is actively being investigated by our development team, however we currently do not have an ETA for a live fix for the issue. Thanks to our community, it has been found that disabling the Fast Startup setting in the Windows Power Settings can restore functionality to the CAM software. For more information on disabling the Fast Startup setting, please check out the guide below:
How do I disable Fast Startup in Windows?
| Are there any disadvantages to disabling Fast Startup? |
|
Fast Startup is a setting that is useful for older PCs that boot from mechanical hard drives, however modern PCs booting from Solid State Drives (SSDs) may see little to no measurable performance changes when disabling Fast Startup. Disabling Fast Startup can also prevent issues with device detection following a shutdown, such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi adapters not detecting. |
