If the colors on your Kraken's RGB are faded or discolored, this may be an indicator that the LEDs have begun to fail. All RGB LEDs consist of four separate colored diodes (Red, Blue, and Green) that are mixed to produce various colors. Over time these diodes can become tired and begin to fade, resulting in lower vibrance or discoloration. To check for discoloration, try using the following color codes for your device in either NZXT CAM or your system's RGB software (for non-CAM powered coolers, i.e. Kraken 120 and Kraken Core):
- Pure White - #FFFFFF
- Pure Red - #FF0000
- Pure Green - #00FF00
- Pure Blue - #0000FF
Depending on which color is failing, you may see the selected color appear less vibrant or dim. With the Pure White setting, this should also confirm the which LED is failing based on the result:
| Result | Issue |
| White = Cyan/Teal | Red LED Issue |
| White = Magenta/Pink | Green LED Issue |
| White = Yellow | Blue LED Issue |
I confirmed the issue, how can I fix this?
If your Kraken cooler is still within warranty, we recommend reaching out to our Customer Support team for further assistance. Please be sure to include a copy of your proof of purchase (receipt/invoice) when reaching out.
If your Kraken is outside of warranty, the device may need to be replaced. You can try adjusting colors to compensate for the fading LED color, however the LEDs will continue to weaken over time.
