To do a full reset of the Function Elite keyboard, you'll need to use the ISP Reset switch found on the back of the keyboard. For the Function Elite MiniTKL this will be covered by the serial number sticker as shown below:
Do not damage the serial number side of the sticker, as this is required for any warranty related claims.
To expose the button, use a stiff object such as a thin screwdriver or paperclip to pierce the sticker at the location shown. With the button exposed, do the following to reset the keyboard:
- Plug the keyboard in to your PC to make sure it has power.
- Using a stiff object such as a thin screwdriver or paperclip, press and hold the button until the keyboard LEDs begin flashing red.
- Unplug the USB cable from the keyboard, then reconnect the keyboard.
- Open the Keyboard tab in NZXT CAM to confirm the keyboard is properly detecting.
Why should I reset the Function Elite keyboard?
Resetting the Function Elite keyboard should only be necessary in one of two situations:
- The keyboard is not properly detect in the NZXT CAM software or is not accepting changes from the CAM software (i.e. RGB non-responsive, keyboard not appearing)
- You are transferring ownership (i.e. selling or gifting) of the keyboard or purchase the keyboard second-hand and would prefer a fresh start.
