What CPUs are supported on the N7 B550?
The NZXT N7 B550 motherboard will support most Ryzen 3000 series and newer CPUs. For a complete list of all supported processors, please check the CPU Support List on the product page.
While currently unlisted, all N7 B550 motherboards will be able to support the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and Ryzen 7 5700X as of BIOS version P1.50.
Does the N7 B550 support Thunderbolt™ connections?
The NZXT N7 B550 does not feature integrated support for Thunderbolt connections natively or through add-in cards.
What is the connection type for the N7 B550's integrated LAN controller?
The N7 B550 supports up to 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet thanks to its integrated Realtek® RTL8125BG 2.5G LAN Controller.
How many RGB headers does the N7 B550 have?
The N7 B550 motherboard includes a total of 4 RGB headers, broken down as follows:
- Two (2) NZXT RGB Headers located in the top right corner of the motherboard near the RAM DIMM slots. Supports up to 40 LEDs per header.
- One (1) 5V Addressable RGB Header (3-pin) located in the bottom left corner of the motherboard. Supports up to 40 LEDs.
- One (1) 12V Analog RGB Header (4-pin) located in the bottom left corner of the motherboard. Supports a maximum power rating of 12V, 3A (approximately 2 meters, depending on LED density)

Does the N7 B550 support Gen 1 NZXT RGB Devices, or is it limited to Gen 2 or newer?
The N7 B550's integrated NZXT RGB Controller will support all Generation 1 and Generation 2 NZXT RGB devices. Please note, you cannot mix Generation 1 and Generation 2 devices within the same connection chain.
Can I use additional Fan or RGB Controllers with the N7 B550, like the Smart Device V2 or the RGB & Fan Controller?
You can install multiple additional USB powered devices to the N7 B550 using the three (3) included Internal USB 2.0 headers located along the bottom edge of the motherboard. These can be used for various devices including the Smart Device V2, RGB & Fan Controller, and various models of the NZXT Kraken series without compatibility issues.
Is the N7 B550 available in any other colors than Black or White?
At this time, the N7 B550 is only available in either Black or White.
What debug features does the N7 B550 support? Does it have debug LEDs or a code readout?
The NZXT N7 B550, along with many of our other N7 and N5 motherboards will feature a set of Debug LEDs to help in troubleshooting startup issues. The N7 B550 does not include a seven-segment code readout.
Can I overclock my CPU using the NZXT CAM software?
The N7 B550 does not include overclocking support through the NZXT CAM software. To overclock your CPU, you'll need to adjust the overclocking settings in the UEFI BIOS.
Can I control my motherboard fans through the NZXT CAM software?
You can easily control all fans connected to the N7 B550 through the CAM software under the Cooling tab.
